Description
In a nutshell:
A light and citrus Gascon white that goes easy on the alcohol.
The lowdown:
At a mere 9% ABV, this light white is an easy-drinking delight. Made by Producteurs Plaimont, a co-op of impeccable credentials, this Gascon gem has a symphony of aromas - vibrant lemon zest, juicy grapefruit, and a touch of tropical pineapple, all harmonised with delicate floral notes. A mere whisper of sweetness graces the palate which is beautifully balanced by a lively acidity, resulting in a wine that is refreshingly inviting and utterly irresistible.
The Producer:
Producteurs Plaimont, the leading wine cooperative in Southwest France can be fairly said to have revolutionized the region's wine industry since its formation in the 1970s. Led by André Dubosc, the cooperative consolidated three smaller ones, in the process transforming everything from winemaking standards and grape cultivation to the marketing of their products. Based in Saint Mont, their vast vineyards span diverse terrains, producing a wide range of wines, from casual Côtes de Gascogne to prestigious appellation wines. With over 1,000 members and 5,300 hectares of vines, they are a dominant force in the region.
When to drink:
The lightness of touch makes this wine just perfect all by itself - and with white fish and summer salads.
Suitable for Vegans
