In a Nutshell:
A lightly hazy Mountain IPA with citrus and pine notes and an easy-going, balanced bitterness.
The Lowdown:
We'd call this a 'Mountain IPA', a style that marries West Coast bite with East Coast softness all wrapped up with a slight haze. Those citrus, grapefruit peel aromas are there with a touch of pineapple and a bit of pine underneath, and there's a resinous note on the tongue without the bitterness going over the top. All that's good about IPA without going to extremes.
The Brewery
Cold Shelter is a small South Wales outfit run by two mates, Jack and Daniel, who started brewing in 2024 with a simple aim: make great beer and have fun doing it. Theyre a 'cuckoo' brewery, meaning they dont have their own kit but brew at other breweries - keeping things flexible and collaborative. Expect hazy pales, hoppy IPAs and dark stuff too, all brewed with character and proper indie spirit.
