Cointreau
The delicious zestry, fresh, floral and sweet 'triple-sec' orange liqueur originating from Angers in the Loire valley.
The Lowdown
Cointreau is a very well known name and probably the most famous triple-sec orange liqueur of them all. It's made from blend of sweet and bitter orange peel to a 150 year old recipe. A great cocktail base, essential in a Margarita, or really good all by itself served simply over ice.
The Producer
Originally established by Adolphe Cointreau and his brother Edouard-Jean in the mid-1800s, they made a range of fruit liqueurs but found their real success with a blend of sweet and bitter oranges and pure distilled alcohol. Over the following decades the fame of their signature product has led to Cointreau becoming a household name among liqueur spirits.
