Chimay Blue Cap

The strongest of their range of Trappist beers Blue Cap certainly has something of a Port like character about it. It's aromatic, lively and rich with an overall medium sweet middle, with gentle drier suggestions of thyme, pepper, sandalwood and nutmeg on the finish.

Bières de Chimay, a Trappist brewery within the Benedictine l'Abbaye Notre-Dame de Scourmont, has been in operation since 1862. The monks' brewing supports their community and charitable activities.
