The Lowdown
This is a traditional Normandy brandy made from a variety of different apples grown in the Calvados region of France. Fresh, lively and warming it's aged for a minimum of 2 years in oak barrels and it was a double gold winner at the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Challenge.
The Producer
Calvados, Normandy's famous apple brandy, has been produced in the historic Pays d'Auge region for centuries and Calvados Berneroy, steeped in this tradition, is one the leading producers. Their master blenders employing time-honoured methods, and well honed expertise create a range of distinctively fruity calvados expressions which capture the very essence of the local orchards and make use of the over 180 named apple varieties authorized for Calvados production.
