Helles beer is more Munich beer garden than punchy pilsner. A softer, rounder body is the base through which the meadow-grass hoppiness and floral hints shine. Fresh and easy, with the bitterness reined in so it’s clean rather than sharp.
The Producer
Brulo was founded in Edinburgh in 2019 by James Brown, who spent years at the sharp end of the UK craft beer world before turning his attention to alcohol-free. Working with specialist brewing partners across Europe, they produce a focused range of hop-forward beers that lack for nothing apart from the alcohol. Their IPAs and NEIPAs have earned genuine praise in several countries and now the UK market is in their sights.
