A regular critics' favourite, this comes not from one vineyard but rather from five different Premier Cru sites within Beaune. The result is a genuine panorama of the appellation's character: breadth as well as focus. Around nine months in oak lend texture and a hint of pastry, while citrus, pear and white peach take centre stage. Almond and mineral notes add detail, the finish is saline and long, and the style is elegant and unfussy.

Bouchard Père et Fils is a name with serious history, dating back to 1731. Over the years, they've carefully built up a remarkable collection of Burgundy's best vineyard sites, including renowned names like Beaune Grèves and Volnay Les Caillerets - names that define what makes Burgundy special. Though rich in tradition, they've kept moving forward, now standing as one of the Côte dOr's largest landowners. Their wines reflect the region's balance of earthiness and finesse, each bringing something distinct to the table.
When to Drink:
Drink now through the next decade. Excellent with roast chicken, turbot or Comté, where acidity refreshes and oak adds weight.
