Beak Brewery Hum Pale Ale
A strong smooth bodied Pale Ale with tropical fruit flavours from Beak Brewery of Lewes, Sussex.
The Lowdown
This Pale Ale was brewed with a silly amount of Idaho 7, Motueka, and Cashmere hops along with an experimental yeast strain known for creating beers with voluptuous body and ripe tropical fruit flavours.
The Producer
Beak Brewery, now based in the South Downs near Lewes, was initially founded as a nomadic set-up by food writer Daniel Tapper, who brewed hop-forward IPAs and saisons with the likes of Beavertown and Northern Monk. Now equipped with their own kit, they've settled in Lewes to brew a diverse range of beers—from juicy IPAs to traditional best bitters and cutting-edge mixed-fermentation projects. Their taproom, with its ever-changing beer list and street-food canteen, is a worthwhile stop-off for anyone down that way.
