In a nutshell: Pale, crisp and fresh Pinot Grigio rosé from the Pavia region of northern Italy.
The lowdown: Ripe Pinot Grigio grapes, which naturally have a slight pink hue, are harvested from hillside vineyards together with a small proportion of Barbera and Pinot Nero, for added fruitiness and complexity, before a gentle pressing. The resulting wine is everything you want from an immensely refreshing and drinkable pale Italian Pinot Grigio rosé with delicate aromas of red berries leading onto a light and dry palate with juicy red berry and cherry fruit notes and zesty acidity.
Producer Adria Vini's aim is to produce authentic, well-priced still and sparkling wines from local grape varieties from all across Italy especially in Veneto, Friuli, Lombardy, Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo and Sardinia. All aspects of production, from grape selection through to vinification, maturation, blending and bottling are meticulously overseen by their skilled winemaking team and their expertise speaks for itself in their invariably excellent wines.
When to drink: Perfect on its own, or try with salads and cold meats or smoked fish.
