Jean-Louis Vial made the decision to go organic back in 1998, long before it became fashionable, and his son Julien has continued that commitment with a focus on sustainability that runs through everything they do. The grapes are harvested at night - a detail that matters more than it might sound. Cooler overnight temperatures preserve the delicate aromatics and keep the fruit fresh, which shows clearly in the glass.
What you get is a rosé that feels effortlessly Provençal - pale, dry, and elegant, with floral aromas on the nose, bright berry fruit and a lovely hint of lychee that gives it a slightly exotic edge. Made from a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Carignan, it’s refreshing and well-balanced without ever feeling this or simple. This is a wine with real character that just happens to be very easy to drink.
