Rioja Tradition and Innovation

Bodegas Manzanos, founded in 1890, is still a family affair and one of the stars of Rioja. For generations, the Fernández de Manzanos family has nurtured this historic estate, and it’s still very much a family-run operation. But it’s in the last few decades, under the leadership of brothers Víctor and David Fernández de Manzanos, that the winery has really taken off.

What was already a solid business has gone from strength to strength since the 1990s, thanks to smart vineyard acquisitions and organic growth. Víctor and David have expanded beyond their base in Rioja Oriental. Today, they’re recognised as one of the major players in Rioja, blending tradition with innovation in both winemaking and vineyard management.

Their wines highlight the distinct Mediterranean climate of Rioja Oriental, where you’ll find riper, fruitier styles that still offer the balance Rioja is known for. From their wineries in both Azagra and Haro, they craft a range that spans both traditional and contemporary tastes, giving wine lovers the best of both worlds.

In particular, the Manzanos and Voché ranges offer a glimpse into what makes this estate so special. The Manzanos wines deliver incredible value for their quality, while the Voché range brings in a more modern approach, often using older vines to create elegant, structured wines that still carry the hallmarks of classic Rioja. Whether you’re after something familiar or fancy trying something a bit different, these wines have something for everyone.

This October, Bodegas Manzanos is taking centre stage, and we’re offering 10% off all their wines. It’s a perfect time to give them a try, whether you’re stocking up on a favourite or exploring something new. We’re confident you’ll be impressed with the quality and value – these wines really are worth a spot in your wine rack.
