We’re veering into characterful country this month and showcasing some of the best aromatic varieties with a selection of six top-ranking whites. This collection takes you on a journey from northern Europe down to the sunny Mediterranean, across the Atlantic, plus a couple of southern hemisphere gems thrown in. Aromatic wines come from all sorts of climates and soils, but they all have that wonderful trait of unmistakable floral and often perfumed aromas.
Spice it up a Bit
Matching up with spicy dishes is what these come into their own. The layered flavours of a Gewurztraminer won’t wilt under the onslaught of Szechuan Chicken and the textured, fragrance of a good Viognier is great with Thai curry.
