Valpolicella

Medium

The rolling countryside north of Verona just east of Lake Garda is home to Valpolicella. Several different wine styles are made from ranging from 'regular' Valpolicella a light and juicy quaffer which has similarities to Beaujolais through to fuller bodied Ripasso, Recioto and Amarone wines made using dried grapes. Corvina is the classic Valpolicella grape which is not often seen outside the area.
