Aragon might be considered a bit of a Spanish backwater. Lots of grapes are grown here, but many of them are packed off to co-operatives to make bulk wines. That’s not the case at Bodegas Frontonio. They take things seriously and make wines to rub shoulders with the best from the classic regions of France, Spain, and Italy.

The one we’ve picked for our Wine of the Month, Botijo Blanco, might only be their entry-level white, but it’s seriously good and shows you what they’re all about. Made from Garnacha Blanca, it’s organic, fresh, lively and with a herby complexity it's a real treat for the tastebuds.
