A sunny French Mediterranean wine pair

Medium

Before Summer disappears into Autumn we have a pair of light, fresh and crisp wines from the French Mediterranean at a great price. Sur La Côte Blanc and Rosé just encapsulate the south of France and sun, sea, sand, salads and seafood! We have a limited amount available at the offer price of just £7.50 each.

Both made with local grape varieties and work as easily together on the kitchen table as they do on their own while you’re sat in the garden with a glass in hand. The Blanc is made with Terret Blanc and Vermentino, with a dash of Viognier, from the area of the Languedoc most famous for Picpoul, and is super light and crisp. The Rosé is a classic south of France rosé being light salmon pink in colour, dry and really refreshing.

As ever with our parcels we only have a limited amount available of each.

Sur La Cote Rose, IGP Mediterranee 2020

In a nutshell:
Light, dry and refreshing rosé from the French Mediterranean.

The lowdown:
A perfect sunny weather rosé from the south of France. Made mainly with Grenache with a little added Syrah this is super light and classic in style with bright red fruit notes, touches of citrus fruit and a little refreshing spice thanks to the Syrah. Pale salmon pink in colour, dry with a light body on the palate with a soft texture and fresh, clean acidity.

When to drink:
Great on its own but also perfect with seafood and light lunches.

Suitable for Vegans

Sur La Cote Blanc, Cotes de Thau 2020

In a nutshell:
A crisp and light white from the French Mediterranean coast.

The lowdown:
This refreshing white comes from the Cotes de Thau in the Languedoc situated between Béziers and Montpellier where the Mediterranean Sea, Bassin de Thau and Mistral wind combine together to pro-vide excellent grape growing conditions. This area's most famous white is Picpoul however many other local white varieties are grown here. This crisp, clean and light white is a blend of Terret Blanc and Vermentino that provide citrus and delicate stone fruit notes with the little Viognier adding texture and floral and apricot fruit touches.

When to drink:
Great as an aperitif and will work well with salads and seafood.
