Oktoberfest 2021

We are bringing Oktoberfest 2021 to you!

Whilst official Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich may have been cancelled for another year due to the pandemic, there is still plenty of opportunity to celebrate this iconic German beer festival! What’s more, you don’t have to wait till October to begin celebrating because Oktoberfest should officially start on the 18th of September! Oktoberfest originated with the wedding of Ludwig von Bayern and Princess Therese of Sachsen-Hildburghausen on the first Sunday of October in 1810, which the end of the festival now coincides with.

Despite traditional celebrations not going ahead this year, you will still be able to purchase official Oktoberfest and German beers to enjoy in your own home!

🍺 Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen is another of the 6 official Oktoberfest beers. Hacker Pschorr produced 13 different products, however their seasonal Oktoberfest beer is only available in the autumn of each year...so get it whilst you can!

🍺Hofbrau Oktoberfest is brewed specifically for the Oktoberfest. Hofbrau own one of the largest beer tents at the festival, which is where this beer is traditionally served. A small amount of this is bottled and some, on occasion finds its way to our shores in September. It's a rich, full bodied beer with a delicious bitterness and definitely one to try!

🍺 Lowenbrau Oktoberfestbier is one of the oldest Oktoberfest beers and has been served at the festival in Munich every year since its origin in 1810. It is a fresh, light, amber Marzen style beer.

🍺 Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier is produced by Paulaner Brewery and served in three large tents at the official Munich celebrations. It is rich, full bodied and, by tradition, slightly stronger than most helles beers it drinks wonderfully smoothly with just a touch of hoppy bite on the clean, refreshing finish.

🍺 Spaten Oktoberfestbier is brewed in Spring in the traditional Marzen style so that it is ready to be served at Oktoberfest in Autumn. It's slightly pale in colour and has a hint of a sweet citrus aroma. On the palate its crisp and smooth with a slight bitterness following on the finish.
