Oktoberfest 2022

Medium

Oktoberfest in Munich started almost 2 weeks ago now on Saturday 17th September. But here in England, we're a little late to the party. Unlike Germany, we tend to celebrate Oktoberfest in October.

We're bringing Oktoberfest 2022 to you!

Oktoberfest beers can only be made by certain Munich-based breweries including Hacker Pschorr, Löwenbräu, Spatenbräu, Hofbräu and PaulanerOktoberfest beers are traditionally made in a Marzen style which requires them to be brewed in March, with more added hops and higher alcohol content so that they can be preserved throughout the hot summer months without any of the modern refrigeration techniques.

We also have a fantastic range of German beers, including some which are brewed specifically for the Oktoberfest season, for you to enjoy in honour of the world's largest beer festival!

Our range of Official Oktoberfest Beers

🍺Hofbrau Oktoberfest is brewed specifically for the Oktoberfest. Hofbrau own one of the largest beer tents at the festival, which is where this beer is traditionally served. A small amount of this is bottled and some, on occasion finds its way to our shores in September. It's a rich, full bodied beer with a delicious bitterness and definitely one to try!

🍺 Lowenbrau Oktoberfestbier is one of the oldest Oktoberfest beers and has been served at the festival in Munich every year since its origin in 1810. It is a fresh, light, amber Marzen style beer.

🍺 Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier is produced by Paulaner Brewery and served in three large tents at the official Munich celebrations. It is rich, full bodied and, by tradition, slightly stronger than most helles beers it drinks wonderfully smoothly with just a touch of hoppy bite on the clean, refreshing finish.

🍺 Spaten Oktoberfestbier is brewed in Spring in the traditional Marzen style so that it is ready to be served at Oktoberfest in Autumn. It's slightly pale in colour and has a hint of a sweet citrus aroma. On the palate its crisp and smooth with a slight bitterness following on the finish.
