Utopian are Unique on the British brewing scene for brewing Lagers and Lagers only, they take their inspiration from Germany and the Czech republic where Lagers were Born.

Using Double Decoction mashes, which is incredibly time-consuming and hard work. But if you want to produce lagers to this standard its the only way. They only use British Malts and Hops in all their beers, showcasing some of the newest Hop varietals coming from these shores, sustainability is key for Utopian generating their own nitrogen, and the beers are naturally carbonated giving them an incredibly smooth mouthfeel.

My personal favourites from their range include the British Pilsner brewed with Godiva and Olicana hops (spice, citrus, tropical) its super smooth with a typical pilsner snappy bitter finish. Their Czech 10 lager has an incredible body and malt flavours (biscuit, bread crust) it would hold its own against any Czech brewed lager. And... the beer that put me to bed is their fabulous Doppelbock clocking in at 7.5% stunning stuff, buy them before I buy them all.

Utopian Brewing Doppelbock

In a nutshell:
A strong lager inspired by German monks from Devon’s Utopian Brewing.

The lowdown:
The Doppelbock is inspired by the decadent strong lagers that have been brewed for centuries to stave off hunger during fasting time. This beer has a luxurious deep body, complex aromas of bread crust and dark fruit, and a gentle alcohol warmth. Lagered for 10 weeks to allow all the complexity to fully develop.

Style - Dark Lager    ABV 7.5% - Strong

Utopian Brewing British Pilsner

In a nutshell:
A golden, Czech style pilsner from Devon’s Utopian Brewing.

The lowdown:
This Czech-influenced pilsner was brewed with the recently developed British flavour hop, Jester. Deep golden in colour, hop forward yet well balanced. A distinct bouquet of stone fruits, citrus, and spicy pine.

Style - Pale Lager    ABV 4.4% - Moderate Strength

Utopian Brewing Premium British Lager

In a nutshell:
A light, crisp and clean British lager from Devon’s Utopian Brewing.

The lowdown:
Utopian’s signature British lager is brewed in the Bavarian Helles style with a crisp, clean finish. Light golden in colour with depth of flavour and impeccable balance.

Style - Pale Lager    ABV 4.7% - Moderate Strength

Utopian Brewing Ten Degree Lager

In a nutshell:
An easy drinking, bold Czech style 10 lager, from Devon’s Utopian Brewing.

The lowdown:
This Ten Degree lager is brewed using a traditional decoction mash with Vienna and Lager malts to develop malt flavour and body along with a generous hopping with Godiva hops. This process ensures a lager that is as bold as it is easy drinking.

Style - Pale Lager    ABV 3.9% - Session Strength

Utopian Brewing Unfiltered British Lager

In a nutshell:
A crisp, hazy unfiltered British lager from Devon’s Utopian Brewing.

The lowdown:
Made in the Bavarian Helles style, this lager has a crisp, clean finish. Similar in style to their signature British lager in its colour. But with slight haziness from the retaining yeast, which provides a greater depth of flavour.

Style - Pale Lager    ABV 4.7% - Moderate Strength
