A review of Menu #2

Another cracking Menu has been and gone, the weather was hot, and the wines were chilled. Many of you came and sampled the bottles we had open and gave us some great feedback on your favourites along with your valuable scores for our leaderboard. Without hesitating we are going to jump straight into the top 3 according to your results.

Coming in first spot for Menu 2 was the popular Chateau Gairoird Rose, Cotes de Provence, on average it scored an impressive 8.40 out of 10. It is not surprising when the weather was perfect for a nice refreshing rose. Some common comments for it were that it was a pleasant wine that was easy drinking and full of flavour. In second place was the Alasia Barolo, scoring an average score of 8.18 out of 10. Some common comments about the wine were that it was rich, full of flavour and a great food wine. Finally in third place was the Pegoes ‘Adega da Pegoes’ Selected Harvest, which scored an average score of 8.00 out of 10. Some common comments about the wine were that it was complex, with a creamy texture and subtle oak characters.
