Azevedo Vinho Verde 2022: A Refreshing White Wine from Portugal
A limited parcel of this clean, bright, and youthful white wine from the Vinho Verde sub-region of Cavado is now available. Made by winemaker Diogo Sepulveda, the Azevedo Vinho Verde 2022 is a blend of Loureiro (70%) and Alvarinho (30%).
The grapes are harvested by machine at night to ensure freshness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures. This helps to preserve the natural freshness and aromatics of the grapes.
The wine is clean and bright with youthful hues. It has intense aromas of fresh citrus fruit, ripe nectarine, lime blossom, and herbaceous hints. On the palate, it is wonderfully refreshing with aromatic citrus and stone fruit notes, a lively acidity, and a crisp and clean finish.
