Wildeberg Wonders: South African Stars in the Spotlight

Medium

South Africa continues to be one of the best places on the planet to find proper wine at decent prices — and Wildeberg are living proof. Tucked away in the Franschhoek hills, this winery turns out beautifully expressive, carefully made wines that over-deliver at every level.

At our spring portfolio tasting we’ll be showcasing a cracking line-up. Their Coterie reds and whites blend old-world grape varieties with new-world energy — the Cabernet Franc-Malbec is bold and brooding, while the Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc shows texture, tension, and a twist of citrus. The Terroirs pair — a pure, bright Chenin and a supple, fruit-forward Cinsault — show just how versatile the Cape can be. And if you’re after some sparkle, the Métèorique Blanc de Blancs is one of the most elegant MCCs we’ve tasted in a while.

Whether you’re already sold on South African wine or just Wilde-curious, these are wines worth seeking out.
