Sepp Moser Pinot Blanc 2018 - Limited Parcel

Medium

We are delighted to offer a tiny limited parcel of this fresh and rounded 2018 Pinot Blanc from one of Austria’s top pioneering estates.

Weingut Sepp Moser was one of the first estates in Austria to switch to biodynamic viticulture and has led the way in bringing the quality of the grapes to the bottle with as little interference as possible. All the grapes are hand-harvested with minimal artificial intervention in the winery and the wine is bottled with an incredibly low sulphur dose.

With winemaking being in the current Moser’s blood for seventeen generations this brilliant winery is one of Austria’s most respected and produces top-class wines from Kremstal, north-west of Vienna, and Burgenland, in the east bordering Hungary. Pinot Blanc can mature wonderfully after a few years in bottle and Sepp Moser’s 2018 is in a perfect drinking window displaying rounded creamy and hazelnut notes balanced with an underlying freshness and minerality providing great structure.

We have just 24 bottles of this fantastic biodynamic wine available so get it whilst you can!

In a nutshell: Fantastic biodynamic, fresh and rounded Austrian Pinot Blanc from the highly respected Sepp Moser winery.

The lowdown: This rounded and complex Pinot Blanc comes from the Burgenland wine region south-east of Vienna and is grown according to organic/biodynamic principles, hand-harvested, and matured in both stainless steel, to retain freshness and aromatics, and oak barrels, for weight, richness and texture. Bright aromas of stone fruits, hazelnut and biscuity notes lead onto a fresh, rounded and creamy palate with those stone fruit characters coming through and all held together by an underlying minerality.

When to drink: Drink now though can keep for a few more years. Try with rabbit, a variety of fresh and salt water fish, or classical chicken and vegetable-based dishes
