Côte de Beaune

The town of Beaune is genereally considered to be the capital of the Burgundy wine region and the Côte de Beaune are its surrounding vineyards which sit on a limestone ridge starting at Nuits-Saint-Georges running south to Santenay. A fair few of the great names of Burgundy among them Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet are to be found here.
