Our Cask Ales are Tapped!

FRESHLY TAPPED EVERY THURSDAY

We source all our ale from local, independent micro-breweries as 9-gallon firkins which are allowed to settle and condition for up to seven days. We then broach the casks and serve 'gravity ale' straight from the barrel into 2 pint, 4 pint, 5L Minikeg containers - there are no lines or pumps to taint the ale. All our ales are fully temperature controlled to maintain optimum quality.

Treat yourself to a freshly poured pint this weekend.

Fresh 'gravity ale' straight from the barrel. Order your 2 pints, 4 pints or 5L minikegs online. Poured on-site to preserve the freshness.

In a Nutshell:
A soft, bitter red ale with bursts of citrus notes from south London’s Wimbledon Brewery.

The Lowdown:
Copper Leaf showcases the best of the English and American brewing traditions. Maris Otter malt with Red Rye, provides a rich bodied beer with caramel notes and a touch of spice, perfect for the colder weather. The English hops offer soft, balanced bitterness, while the generous dry hopping with Mosaic hops provides bursts of citrus, floral and tropical notes. A refreshingly dry, crisp finish.

In a Nutshell:
Classic English Best Bitter balancing malty sweetness and a satisfying hop bite with effortless style.

The Lowdown:
Is there a beer more closely associated with the rolling downs of Sussex, or one that better embodies the essence of English Best Bitter? Using water from their own spring at the brewery together with locally grown hops and malts and their own 60 year old yeast strain this is quite simply a superbly balanced ale with doughy, caramelly malt, a firm hop bite and subtle notes of banana and floral spice.

Elusive Pine Street Pale Ale

English Style Pale Ale
England: Berkshire
ABV 4.0%

In a Nutshell:
A bright, hop-driven pale with Harlequin and Mosaic bringing stone fruit, berry and citrus freshness.

The Lowdown:
A light, West Coast-inspired pale ale that balances punchy hops with crisp drinkability. Part of Elusive's San Francisco Skyline series, it's brewed with English Harlequin and US Mosaic - a pairing that brings together stone fruit, citrus and a trace of red berries. Cleanly fermented and firmly bittered, it stays sharp, aromatic and refreshing from first sip to last.

Medium

Thornbridge Crackendale Citra Pale Ale

English Style Pale Ale
England: Derbyshire
ABV 5.2%

In a Nutshell:
A very pale, Citra single hop American pale ale with bright citrus and tropical lift on a lean, clean malt base.

The Lowdown:
Crackendale is Thornbridge's take on the single-hop Citra pale-ale style, keeping things straightforward so the hop can speak for itself. It's very pale in the glass, and the Citra shows straight away with citrus and a touch of soft tropical fruit. The malt stays in the background, and the bitterness sits in familiar American-pale territory. The finish stays clean and lets the Citra trail off naturally.
