In a nutshell: A crisp and fruity London Dry Gin distilled in Herefordshire from 48 varieties of apples.
The lowdown: Chase Elegant 48 Gin is made from that number of varieties of apples grown on their Herefordshire farm. Firstly they're made into cider, which is then distilled into Chase Vodka, which is then re-distilled with 11 botanicals into the Elegant Gin using water from the aquifer underneath the apple orchard. It has a wonderful balance of juniper, hops, elderflower, Bramley apple and secret wild botanicals. Designed to create the ultimate Gin Martini it's full-bodied, sharp and fruity.
The Chase story started in Potato farming in Herefordshire and Tyrrells crisps was the original enterprise where Will Chase had his success. After the sale of this business he landed on the notion of using his potatoes for distilling into vodka and gin as his next venture.
Neatly surfing the rise in popularity of craft and artisan spirits they've built a diverse range of premium spirits and are now one of the leading producers of home grown spirits.
Further diversification has led to the establishment of Maison Williams Chase in the south of France from where they produce a range of wines including a classic Provence rosé.
