In a nutshell: A spot-on example of good value Malbec, Argentina's classic red.
The lowdown: The fruit for this comes from Mendoza, Argentina's major wine region and South America's home of Malbec. To keep all the bright and ripe fruit flavours to the fore no oak ageing goes on here, the focus is on the freshness. It's full of ripe plum, blueberry and blackcurrant flavours and aromas with a soft spiciness adding a little extra. Medium-bodied it's got plenty of character and texture with a good complexity and harmonious finish.
When to drink: For its modest price tag it really has a lot to offer. Great with barbecues and grilled red meats.
