The grapes for this wine are grown on the steep slopes of the Monts Damnés some of the finest terroir in the appellation. With quite a fleshy feel to complement the delicate tropical aromas and pure, clean minerality it's an extremely good example of the domaine's prowess.
When to drink:
This is a wine with an intense structure and will age well.

Domaine Henri Bourgeois
Situated in the village of Chavignol Domaine Henri Bourgeois is one of the larger private Sancerre domaines and have vineyards on some the the best sites in the appellation.
They make several cuvées and are keen to emphasise the different characteristics of the various vineyards used even though the grape variety remains the same.
Possibly to emphasise their passion for Sauvignon Blanc they also establised the well regarded Clos Henri Vineyard in that grape's more recent heartland, Marlborough in New Zealand.
