A fresh and elegant, organic Rosso di Montalcino from the hills of Tuscany.
Podere Brizio's vineyards in Montalcino are among the hottest in the area and with the local soil type allow the production of well structured wines with a good minerality. Fermentation is carried out with wild yeasts after which the wine is aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels. The result is a wine with gentle floral and forest fruit aromas which follow on to the palate. It's really well balanced with subtle tannins and a nicely crisp acidity and a gently persistent finish.
A classic Montalcino that's a good partner to most pasta dishes, and charcuterie.
