A cool climate Aussie Shiraz showing similarities to the reds of the northern Rhône.
Grown in some of the highest vineyards in Australia, at Orange New South Wales, 200 miles west of Sydney. Certainly less boisterous than its South Australian cousins it's a very well balanced wine with a subtly spicy aroma and some liquorice notes. Medium bodied it has a pleasing complexity, good subtle fruit and some gentle rustic, gameyness.
By no means a typical Aussie Shiraz, but a lovely wine nonetheless.
