The lowdown:
Sapwood is another in Mad Squirrel's series of big, bold West Caost Double IPAs coming in at a hefty 8.5% ABV. Its got all the hallmarks of the style - citrus pith, resinous sweetness, piney bitterness, a touch of caramel and a big slice of grapefruit. Quite delicious.

Based in Berkhampsted at the foot of the Chlltern hills in Hertfordshire their roots can be traced back to 2010 when they started out known as Red Squirrel in nearby Potten End.
Since then they've grown steadily and accumulated several awards along the way. Their range of is extensive with a core of regular brews supplemented by their limited edition releases which allow the brewers to really use their imagination.
