DESCRIPTION
An expertly crafted Aussie Pinot Noir that's among the best to be found from Down Under. The aromas are dazzlingly bright and fresh with sour cherries and cranberry notes before a warm, soft spiciness takes over. The acidity and moderate tannins are in good balance and allow the dark cherry and dark coffee flavours to show themselves nicely.
When matching with food there's plenty of body to hold up well with rich duck, or other boldy flavoured game birds.
PRODUCER
Giant Steps Yarra Valley

Giant Steps is a privately owned Yarra Valley producer that has forged a reputation for making some of the Yarra Valley's most consistently exciting wines from estate-owned vineyards.
The Giant Steps Single Vineyard wines are produced from their best vineyards in great years. Head winemaker Steve Flamsteed and his team aim is to express in each wine the character of the site, grape and vintage, and this they achieve by meticulous work in the vineyard and minimum intervention in the winery. The Sexton vineyard is owned and run by Phil Sexton, the founder and owner of Giant Steps. Situated next to Coldstream Hills and Yarra Yering, it is in the heart of the Yarra, where mean soils produce miserly yields, leading in turn to intense and concentrated wines.
