Founders are one of the best breweries in the US and their Porter is one of only two surviving recipes from their foundation back in the late 1990s. Not only is it one of the best-selling Porters in the US it is also one of the most highly rated. Stylistically not that far from a Stout it pours silky smooth with a creamy tan head and the use of plenty of hops gives a robustness and fullness of flavour. Sweet aromas of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and caramel lead onto a soft, medium-bodied palate with dark chocolate and dried fruit flavours and a low bitterness.
