In a nutshell:
A classic red Burgundy with good complexity and structure from a well regarded producer.
Louis Jadot is one of the major Burgundy producers and known for their reliably good wines all the way through their range. From the home of Pinot Noir, this is a blend of wines from the Côtes d'Or and Chalonnaise and, given it's modest price, it displays the best characteristics of a red Burgundy. The fresh red fruitiness has acquired additional spiciness and earthiness in bottle giving it an extra level of complexity and interest.
When to drink:
It's a good partner to game or rich casseroles and also worth trying very slightly chilled with cold meats and charcuterie.
