In a nutshell:
Benchmark Barolo from one of Piedmont's oldest and most well regarded producers.
Made using fruit from five of the most prestigious Barolo vineyards and aged in large Slavonian oak casks for four years this is a quite sublime wine. It has a medium weight that wafts from the glass with intense aromas of red fruits, dried roses, tobacco, violets, tar, liquorice and leather. Rich, complex and traditional in style with powerful, youthful tannins and a wonderfully long finish.
When to drink:
Steak, and rich game dishes are just the thing to drink with this.
