In a nutshell: A big, strong and flavourfilled Helles lager from Bohemia Regent one of the oldest Czech breweries.
The lowdown: Knize (which means 'prince') is the strongest of Bohemia Regent's range. It's a Helles style lager with a golden amber colour, which has been brewed to the strength of a Bock beer at 7.2% ABV. It's got a clean citrus aroma and distinct bitterness which takes the edge off the alcoholic sweetness giving a good balance and rich mouthfeel.
One of the oldest breweries in the world brewing on the same premises without interruption Pivovar Regent Trebon, or the Bohemia Regent Brewery was established in 1379 in Trebon, South Bohemia. The brewery itself has retained its 17th century appearance and is an architectural jewel, beautifully situated in the picturesque historical town of Trebon south of Prague near the Austrian border.
