In a nutshell: A fragrant and quite full southern Italian white from the Salento region.
The lowdown: Fiano is one of main white grape varieties of southern Italy and is widely grown in the Salento region from where this very flavoursome wine is grown. Here it's been made with some of the fruit being allowed to dry out very slightly da uve leggermente appassito' after picking which gives a bit of extra concentration and an excellent aromatic character which Fiano sometimes lacks. Following the ripe and floral aroma the palate has plenty of melon and peachy stone fruit flavours, but with a good crisp acidity and full and silky mouthfeel.
When to drink: With its nicely full body it'll go well with things like swordfish steaks, or grilled white meats.
