An outstanding age-worthy Spanish white made with Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo just to the west of Ribera del Duero.
The sunny, sandy and stony vineyard ensures perfect ripeness of the grapes resulting in an incredibly surprising, complex and rich wine. After fermentation it is matured for 4-5 months in French oak barrels.
It's full of intense aromas of honey, ripe peach, ginger and floral notes open up onto a soft, mouth-filling palate with exotic citrus, grapefruit and apple fruit flavours. Long, fresh and elegant this relatively young wine really is drinking wonderfully now though has the potential to age over the next 10 years.
It has all the quality to pair with foods such as scallops, or lobster that you'd think of matching with a good white Burgundy.
