Wine Chat with Csaba

We are starting a new series on Instagram Live on most (or at least every second) Thursdays from 7 pm. Csaba Toth, our Head of Events & Partnerships will introduce some of the most exciting people from the wine trade.

Here are the first few who will ‘take the stage’...

Mike Best MW

Mike is currently the youngest Master of Wine in the world. As there are only 409 Masters of Wine (aka the Jedis of the wine world) that exist, he joined a pretty exclusive club, just a few weeks ago when he passed his final exam. Most of you met him last year at our Christmas Tasting when he was representing 3rd Floor Wines. Now, it’s time for us to introduce him properly!

Thursday 17th September 2020 @ 7 pm

Corinne O'Connor

The youngest winery owner in the UK Corinne, who originates from Philadelphia somehow ended up in the middle of Dorset making English wine and sitting as a judge on Independent English Wine Awards. How did this all happen?! She will tell you, as well as what she thinks about the future of the wine industry in the UK. We won’t be drinking English wine, though! Can you guess what will we be having???

Thursday 24th September 2020 @ 7 pm

Louis Boutinot

Don’t let the French-sounding name fool you, Louis is a proper English guy, but with French ancestors. He is the son of Paul Boutinot, the guy who almost single-handedly turned the tide on the ‘all the rage fruity German wines’. Introducing top quality and affordable French stuff to the British restaurateurs of the north in the ’80s. Now the family is based in South Africa and making wines organically in the Waterkloof Estate.

Thursday 8th October 2020 @ 7 pm

There will be more to come, from sommeliers to influencers and leaders of the wine travel industry. So, don’t forget to tune in on Thursday evenings from 7 pm!
